Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Nucla, Colorado. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Plans call for the construction of a new school. Bid Package #3 includes surveying, building concrete, masonry, structural steel, roofing, kitchen equipment, elevator, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, & fire suppression. (Masonry to include structural and veneer, structural steel subcontractors needed for fabrication and erection.) Bid Memorandum #1: Instructions to Bidders Update Please see section 4. in the updated Instructions to bidders document. Section 4. states "Subcontractors must submit for a business license application to the town of Nucla prior to any work being performed on site. Business license application can be found under the "General Documents" folder. Fee for application is $30.00 per year. Subcontractors may include this pricing in their proposals." Bid Memorandum #2: Joist & Deck Procurement Please note FCI has locked in on Vulcrafts schedule for supply of Joist and Deck on this project. Joist and deck are to be included with structural steel proposals and provided by Vulcraft. Bid Memorandum #3: MEP General Documents Please reference the online plan room for Mechanical and Electrical Scope of Work and Bid form documents. In the Bid Form document, please fill out the "Bid Form" and "Cost Breakdown" to the best of your ability. Bid Memorandum #4: To Bidding Mechanical Contractors FCI, Designers and Owner are selecting the RTU Manufacturer and Controls Contractor for the project this week. We will share the selection first of next week. They will be providing you with a proposal for their scope of work and pre-negotiated pricing. Even though FCI is writing a PO to secure pricing, they will be assigned to you (PO transferred) and you will be fully assigned responsible for their scope and a complete HVAC scope of work for the project. This was done in efforts to avoid further cost increases (beating deadlines), secure deliveries dates, avoid re-design issues & to let the owner participate in select for what is best for them. Thank you and let us know if any questions. Bid Memorandum #5: Schedule Update Please see BP#2, BP#3 Schedule posted under the General Documents folder. Bid Memorandum #6: To Bidding Mechanical Contractors FCI, Designer & Owner has selected Daikin/Long on the project. We will send you their PO, you are to include their price with your estimate (you will be assigned and responsible for them). Some items to consider: o The Daikin/Long package is the BOD. For miscellaneous equipment (AC Splits, CUH's, VAV's...) is still wide open, you can go with whoever is listed in the specs and not tied into BOD. o We need a deduct for the Auxiliary Gym (RTU-5, 6-DEF's & related) - Alternate 24 (listed under Alternates in Scope of Work doc.) o We need a deduct for the Wrestling Gym (RTU-7, 2-DEF's & related) - Alternate 25 (listed under Alternates in Scope of Work doc.) o Updated Mechanical Scope of Work document provided by FCI o Line item 44 Kitchen Grease Hood and Duct - we are looking to have the mechanical contractor furnish and install the kitchen hood system, including Captive Aires controls (Long will BACnet into it) and Ansul system. The file is located under the folder titled "Questions" Bid Memorandum #8: Alternates List Please be sure to view the new alternates list located in the "specs" folder under the subfolder titled "Alternates".
