The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC), as "Owner", on behalf the Department of Education ("Using Agency" or ''SBE''), and the Georgia Academy for the Blind, (''GAB'') is seeking Statements of As of October 20, 2022, a short list of finalists has been determined and a final selection has been made. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. Qualifications from firms interested in providing design professional services for a project known as Project No.SBE-044C Renovation of Cottages at the Georgia Academy for the Blind in Macon, Georgia. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeks to identify the most qualified potential providers of the above-mentioned services. Some firms which respond to this RFQ, and who are determined by the Owner to be especially qualified, may be deemed eligible and may be invited to interview for these services. The RFQ is posted on the Georgia Procurement Registry and can be accessed by going the Document tab at the top of this page. Interested firms should continue to this site for project updates. The preliminary stated construction cost limitation (SCL) for cottages #5, #7 & #8 is estimated to be in the $2,450,000.00 range. The renovation costs for cottages #1 thru #4 are not included in the SCL amount above. The final SCL may differ due to actual program requirements, funding, and other circumstances. Design services are anticipated to start in by June of 2022 and be complete by the end of 2022.
