The Scope of Work will occur at 651 West Dorgan Avenue, Chesterton, Indiana 46304, 1012 North Old State Road 49, Chesterton, Indiana 45304, and 601 West Morgan Avenue, Chesterton, Indiana 46304. Approximate range of construction cost will be $450,000.00 to $550,000.00. This project will be bid to Prime Contractors only. Major scope of work items will include, but shall not b limited to, the following:
1) HVAC equipment installation.
2) Lighting.
3) Lay in ceilings.
4) Flooring. Anticipated Award of Construction Contract: April 4, 2022 Anticipated Construction Schedule:
Start of Work: June 21, 2022
Substantial Completion: August 5, 2022 Final Completion: August 19, 2022 Lump sum bid proposals will be received for this project at the scheduled time. Bids received after this time shall be returned unopened. Bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to 10 percent of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to the Duneland School Corporation. The Board of School Trustees of the Duneland School Corporation reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or to waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the Duneland School Corporation. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled bid opening date. All bidders must comply with all Board of School Trustees local policies as outlined in the bidding documents.
