Work includes the construction of 2,624 sf of building addition to the existing DeForest Windsor Fire & EMS building. Interior remodeling of approximately 1,600sf of space will be included in the work to accommodate updated dayroom and storage | support spaces. The addition will be a single story structure. The addition will be slab on grade and house (10) new sleeping rooms, connecting corridors and (4) new restroom | show rooms. Interior renovations will expand the existing dayroom and provide a new upgraded kitchen and dining space with related pantry. Renovations will also improve laundry facilities and staff personal storage. The addition will be configured in such a way that a new staff use courtyard will be created for daylight, lounge space and outdoor dining. The addition structure will be exterior masonry bearing walls with cavity construction and masonry veneer to match existing building.
