Demolition, site work, paving, remodeling, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Deforest, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the addition of a 2,624-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for the renovation of a fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and for the remodel of a 1,600-square-foot fire / police facility.

Work includes the construction of 2,624 sf of building addition to the existing DeForest Windsor Fire & EMS building. Interior remodeling of approximately 1,600sf of space will be included in the work to accommodate updated dayroom and storage | support spaces. The addition will be a single story structure. The addition will be slab on grade and house (10) new sleeping rooms, connecting corridors and (4) new restroom | show rooms. Interior renovations will expand the existing dayroom and provide a new upgraded kitchen and dining space with related pantry. Renovations will also improve laundry facilities and staff personal storage. The addition will be configured in such a way that a new staff use courtyard will be created for daylight, lounge space and outdoor dining. The addition structure will be exterior masonry bearing walls with cavity construction and masonry veneer to match existing building. Masonry accents, banding and metal wall panels will all match existing building. Roof is steel frame with metal deck, sloped insulation, and membrane finish. Exterior doors and windows are aluminum storefront and aluminum clad wood windows for natural ventilation. The online bid portal will be open for vBid starting April 4, 2022. No paper bids will be accepted. Building systems will be rooftop air handling unit with VAV control boxes. The new kitchen will have a commercial hood and commercial grade appliances. Plumbing systems will tie into existing and include floor mount toilets with flushometers, solid material countertops with integral sinks and unit shower bases with tile finish. Electrical systems will tie into existing service panels and generator and include all LED fixtures. The existing public address / fire fighter call system will be expanded into the building addition with new speakers and volume controls. The existing building's fire sprinkler system will also be expanded into the building addition. Site work is limited and includes minor concrete sidewalk and connecting a new storm line serving the building addition roof drains to the existing municipal storm network along Holum Street. Minor site restoration work will also be required at project completion.
