Notice is hereby given that the Project is subject to the requirements of Public Contract Code section 20111.6 as a project funded under the Leroy F. Greene School Facilities Act of 1998 or a project that involves a projected expenditure of one million dollars ($1,000,000) or more and is funded from a state school bond. As such, the District will accept Bids only from Bidders prequalified by the District. In addition, any electrical, mechanical, and plumbing subcontractors (as defined by Public Contract Code section 20111.6(k) and all subcontractors holding a class A or B license that will perform any type of work covered by the specialty licenses listed in section 20111.6(k)) must be prequalified by the District. The type of work for which subcontractors must be prequalified is the work encompassed in the following license classifications: C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 and C-46, whether performed by a contractor with a Class C license or a Class A or B license. Contractors and subcontractors that are required to be prequalified are required to submit prequalification packages no later than thirty (30) days prior to bid date or within five (5) days of the last bid advertisement if advertised less than thirty (30) days before bids are due, but no later than ten (10) business days before bids are due. The District will not consider any Bid in which the Bidder, or any Subcontractor that was required to be prequalified, is not actually prequalified within five (5) days before the bid date.
