** This project has been officially awarded to Terra Dynamic Inc. in the amount of $1,299,000. ** The work will include, but not be limited to the demolition of select asphalt and concrete paving, play areas, select storm lines and catch basins, and the grass field. The project includes the installation of a new underground detention system, new storm lines and catch basins, a new synthetic turf and subdrainage system at the field, and flush concrete curbs and subdrainage at new 2-12 and 5-12 soft-surface play areas. The project also includes the installation of raised concrete curbs at existing tree areas and installation of play striping and new tetherball. Through a separate process, a Playground Subcontractor will be selected and assigned to the General Contractor the following scope of work: the installation of new 2-5 and 2-12 play equipment with synthetic turf surfacing. The General Contractor will be responsible for coordination with and supervision of the Playground Subcontractor. The cost range for the overall project including an allowance for the Playground Subcontractor scope of work is $1,200,000 to $1,350,0000. SPS reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities in the bidding and to accept bids, which are considered to be in the best interest of SPS.
