Renovation of a museum in Merced, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.

In general, this project comprises the substantial remodeling of the exterior of the three-story historic Merced County Courthouse Museum built in 1875. The museum is listed on the national parks service's national register of historic places and the United States secretary of the interior standards for rehabilitation shall therefore dictate the procedures and methods for the work which include but are not limited to cleaning, restoration, repair, refinishing, and painting all exterior features as noted on the construction documents. Bids will be entered on a lump sum basis. The Bonding Estimate for this project is $ 3,000,000.00. The Undersigned understand/s that the time for completion of the work of the Contract is four hundred sixty five (465) consecutive Calendar Days, subject to such authorized extensions as set forth in the "General Conditions of the Contract for Construction" included in the Project Manual Bid Security in the amount of ten (10) percent of the Bid amount (Base Bid plus Alternate Bids, if any) shall accompany the Bid, in accordance with the provisions set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than 10% percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, made payable to the Owner. At the option of the Bidder, this may be a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond. Within ten (10) days of the award of Contract, the Successful Bidder will be required to furnish, at his expense, a Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, and a Faithful Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of theContract Price. The Board of Supervisors of Merced County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept the Base Bid alone or together with any or all Alternates, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in any Bid or in the Bidding.
