The major items of work include: The fabrication and installation of a full cantilever metal carport. Removal of an existing concrete slab; ground to be replaced with a layer of asphalt. Installation of LED light fixtures to provide illumination under the cantilever carport. Each bid must be accompanied by a bond or a cashier's check of the Contractor, drawn on a national bank, in an amount equal to Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), as a guarantee on the part of the Contractor that he will, if called upon to do so, accept and enter into a contract on such form as may mutually be agreed upon by the City and the selected Contractor, which addresses all the material provisions of the bid. Checks and bonds will be returned promptly after the City and the selected Contractor have executed the Contract, or, if no Contractor's bid has been selected within ninety (90) days after the date of the opening of the bids. Provide a full metal cantilever carport for 10 parking spaces at the Shenandoah's police station located at 29955 IH-45 North, Shenandoah, Texas 77381. It is the intent that the Contractor will provide timely and efficient services in the installation of the proposed scope of work. The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, material, equipment, and supervisory personnel to properly install a new metal cantilever carport and include the following: -The fabrication of a full cantilever metal carport. Size 90'0'' X 19'0'' X 8'0'' clearance. Include painted steel columns and rafters, galvanized cee's, gauge prefinished roof and fascia, and piers to be drilled in natural ground behind asphalt edge. -Removal of an existing concrete slab size 11'0'' X 19'0'', debris to be removed and disposed. -Contractor to remove existing asphalt around the concrete slab and light pole to open up the area for additional parking lanes. -Contractor to fill the excavated area with 8'' of cement stabilized sand, compacted at 95% standard proctor density. Achieve a strength of 100 psi at forty-eight (48) hours. - Contractor to lay down a 3'' asphalt layer over the cement stabilized sand and make proper connection to the parking lot. -Contractor to install conduit and wire to feed 5 new weather proof LED fixtures. -Contractor to provide and install five (5) LED fixtures under proposed cantilever carport. Fixtures will need to sustain outdoor and severe weather conditions. Wattage (40W-50W-60W), voltage 120/277V, photocell installed, and emergency battery. Fixtures to have a 5-year standard warranty by the manufacturer.
