Site work for a municipal facility in Fort Erie, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
Town of Fort Erie's Water and Wastewater Division is requesting quotations from qualified contractors for the supply and installation of smart hydrants at various locations throughout the town. The smart hydrant devices must adapt to multiple hydrant manufactures used by the Town of Fort Erie. All hydrants in the Town of Fort Erie are dry barrel hydrants and the smart hydrant must conform to this specification. The smart hydrant will be designed to not interfere with the safe operation of the hydrant. Installation will follow the requirements of ANSI/AWWA Standard 651 and the current version of the MECP's Watermain Disinfection Procedure. The smart hydrant will be able to monitor system pressure, temperature, battery life and have acoustic sounding capabilities. This data will be available on a real time dash board format with GIS format available to multiple users. The dash board must have multiple levels of access from Manager / Administrator to Read Only users. Ability to set custom parameters and sending alerts and export data. Cellular network costs will be outlined in the bid and any roaming charges that may occur will be at the expense of the contractor. Award value not released for publication.
