BP3401 Offsite Roadwork In accordance with General Statute GS 133-3, Specifications may list one or more preferred brands as an alternate to the base bid in limited circumstances. Specifications containing a preferred brand alternate under this section must identify the performance standards that support the preference. Performance standards for the preference must be approved in advance by the owner in an open meeting conducted on the same day/time/location as the PREBID meeting. The following items are being considered for this project: NOT APPLICABLE for BP2741 Audio/Visual Systems OR BP3401 Offsite Roadwork. A copy of pertinent sections of the performance standards, if applicable, may be obtained by contacting BARNHILL CONTRACTING COMPANY. Bid Documents can be viewed or downloaded through Barnhill online plan room. All Bidders are strongly encouraged to include opportunities for Minority Business participation wherever possible in their respective Bid submission. Minority Business participation is a part of this contract and must comply with all requirements set forth in the Bid Documents. The Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to add pre-qualified bidders. The Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to reject any and all bids. Barnhill Contracting Company in association with DA Everett Construction Group and Right Build International has been selected as the Construction Manager @ Risk by Durham County Public Schools and is seeking to pre-qualify construction trade and specialty contractors to submit bids for the Audio Visual (AV) package at Northern High School in Durham, NC. Please note: Only subcontractors who have been prequalified by Barnhill Contracting Company will be able to submit a Bid. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Northern High School (NHS) complete audio and visual package to include the main building, auditorium, gymnasiums, classrooms, auxiliary spaces, sports fields, athletic buildings, etc. Bid Packages: BP2741 – AV Systems. Additional packages may be added and/or deleted at the discretion of the Construction Manager. Historically underutilized business participation is encouraged. Interested contractors should submit their completed prequalification submittals, by March 11, 2022, to Meredith Terrell at Barnhill Contracting Company by email shown below or by mail to PO Box 31765 Raleigh, NC 27622 (4325 Pleasant Valley Road, NC 27612). Please note: Once Bid Documents become available, they will be posted to our planroom website, however only subcontractors who have been prequalified by Barnhill Contracting Company will be able to submit a Bid.
