The City of Lawrence invites bids from qualified vendors interested in providing the following for the City of Lawrence Public Schools, in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications outlined in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). A contract shall be awarded to a responsive and eligible contractor offering the lowest total bid price. GYMNASIUM FLOORS REFINISHING Bidders must submit a five percent 5% bid deposit with their bid. All bids submitted in response to this Invitation for Bids will be evaluated and awarded in accordance with the provisions established under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 149. Vendors will be required to abide by the guidelines established under this statute. This project is subject to Prevailing Wage Rates and OSHA Certifications. Scope of Work o Sand entire floor with 24, 36, 50, 80, 120 grit paper o Apply two {2) coats, low VOC oil base sealer o Paint game lines same as existing o Paint 10' to fit in 12' full center circle {see diagram for logo) o Apply two (2) coats low VOC 350 oil base finish Exclusions o Wood floor patching, repairing, filling, leveling o Work beneath or behind Bleachers o Work on Athletic or Electrical floor inserts and cover plates Arlington School, 150 Arlington Street, 8,300 sq. ft. Scope of Work o Repair patches throughout the gym floor. Abrade existing surface and apply wear coat to specific areas with cuts in floor. o Apply 2mm overpour to entire floor according to provided specifications. o Re-Paint entire floor: game lines and logo to match existing. Exclusions o Work on electrical floor inserts o Adjustments to bleachers and doors required by the change in the floor profile o Moisture Mitigation
