Notice is hereby given to bid on an asbestos abatement contract for the abatement of asbestos-containing (ACM) floor tile and associated black mastic, acoustical ceiling texture, CMU block wall skim coat, orange-peel wall texture on sheet rock walls, black lab tables, loose transite pieces, and black sink undercoating from throughout Hartnett Hall located on the Campus of Minot State University, 500 University Avenue West in Minot, ND, as described in the contract documents prepared by Badlands Environmental Consultants, Inc., Bismarck, North Dakota, hereby listed as Designer. The abatement project will involve the removal and disposal of approximately: 26,330 ft 2 of floor tile and associated black mastic (most located under carpet). 1,000 ft 2 of acoustical ceiling texture on plaster. 62,200 ft 2 of sheetrock with taping compound. 2,630 ft 2 of CMU block wall skim coat. 96 ft 2 of black lab tables. 45 ft 2 of loose transite pieces. 4 double and 2 single sinks with black sink undercoating. The project is scheduled to start on or about June 6, 2022, and substantial completion of the project by August 26, 2022. Each Bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a Bidders Bond in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the Bid, executed by the Bidder as Principal and by a Surety Company authorized to do business in this State, conditioned that if the Principals Bid be accepted and the Contract awarded to the Principal, the Principal, within ten days after notice of award, will execute and effect a Contract in accordance with the terms of the Principals Bid and a Contractors Bond as required by law and the regulations and determi- nations of the governing board. Also, include in the Bidders Bond envelope a copy of the Abatement Contractors current North Dakota General Contractors License and North Dakota Asbestos Abatement Contractors License. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to a cept or reject any or all Bids, or parts thereof. All Bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their Bids, as provided by Section 43-07-05 and as also prescribed by Section 43-09-09. No Bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions and any deficient Bid submitted will be released and returned to the Bidder immediately.
