The County of Santa Clara through the Parks and Recreation Department is seeking proposals from qualified cattle grazing operators to implement ecologically beneficial and economically viable livestock grazing livestock operations at one or more Santa Clara County Parks: Ed R. Levin County Park; Joseph D. Grant County Park; Mendoza Ranch; Coyote Lake Harvey Bear Ranch County Park under a Grazing License Agreement with the County. Maps of the Parks and key features are attached to the RFP. The Department is seeking proposals from livestock operators who have the interest, skills, experience, and capacity to cooperate with the Department in achieving objectives for natural resource conservation, rangeland health, livestock production, and other land management goals as set out in the Parkland Range Management Policy and operative Park Grazing Plans at Joseph D. Grant and Ed Levin Park and Coyote Lake - Harvey Bear Ranch. Contract duration: 5 years Q & A deadline: Apr 22, 2022 5:00:00 PM EDT
