This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued to solicit proposals from qualified, experienced, financially sound, and responsible firms to provide cooling tower repair for the Cooling Plant #2 (CP#2) on The University of Kentucky Campus. The Scope of Services includes the work outlined in Section 7.0, Scope of Services. Potential Suppliers are responsible to field measure the site. All materials shall be made of material that will not decay or rust. Any material exposed to the sun shall be UV inhibited. It is the intent of the University to award a contract to the qualified Offeror who's Offer, conforming to the conditions and requirements of the RFP, is determined to be the most advantageous to the University, cost and other factors considered. The firm whose systems is selected would provide all design and installation assistance services necessary to construct the facilities in accordance with the guidelines, standards and limitations contained in the Request for Proposal and in the Offerors Proposal. Work needs to be completed and towers back on by July 1, 2022. The following items should be noted in reference to the pre-proposal conference: Attendance at the pre-proposal conference is optional. At this conference, the scope of services will be discussed in detail and copies of prior year financial reports will be distributed. Offerors are encouraged to submit written questions after the conference by the date listed in Section 3.1. The University will prepare written responses to all questions submitted and make them available to all offerors. The questions and answers will be made part of the RFP and may become part of the contract with the successful contractor. Answers given orally at the conference are not binding. The University reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals (or parts of proposals), to waive any informalities or technicalities, to clarify any ambiguities in proposals and (unless otherwise specified) to accept any item in the proposal. In case of error in extension or prices or other errors in calculation, the unit price shall govern. Further, the University reserves the right to make a single award, split awards, multiple awards or no award, whichever is in the best interest of the University.
