Saving Project...
Renovation of a mixed-use development in La Mesa, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Multi-campus roof safety improvement project includes but not limited to roof hatch safety rails, guardrails, ladder attachments, smoke vents, fall restraint systems and warning striping. In addition to addressing roof safety, this project shall include accessibility improvements at West Hills. This Project expenditure is valued at $1 million or more, therefore all Prime Contractors and Subcontractors identified in Public Contract Code (PCC) section 20111.6 must be prequalified. Contractors/Subcontractors must submit a prequalification application online at QualityBidders.com per the schedule, this includes renewals. This bid is subject to Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise requirements. Minority, women, and disabled veteran contractors are encouraged to submit bids. District is required to have 3% percentage each year. Bidder must provide a DVBE prime or subcontractor at 3% or complete the Good Faith Efforts package. Construction Manager will place a DVBE ad. All paperwork is due at time of bid. REQUIRED BID SECURITY: Each bid must be submitted with security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract, if awarded to the bidder, and will provide the performance and payment bonds, insurance certificates and other documents described in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder will be required to provide both a performance bond and a separate payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount. The Project is a public work and the successful bidder and each of its subcontractors of any tier will be required to pay not less than the general prevailing rates of perdiem wages in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract ("Prevailing Wages"). A copy of the per-diem rates of Prevailing Wages applicable to the Project is on file and available for review at the location specified above as the place for submitting bids, and a copy will be posted at the site of the Project. Bidder shall include the name, location of the place of business, and the California contractor license number of each subcontractor who will perform work or assist the bidder in completing the Project, pursuant to the Subletting and Subcontracting Fair Practices Act. An inadvertent error in listing the contractor license number shall not be grounds for filing a bid protest or grounds for considering a bid nonresponsive, assuming the corrected contractor's license number is submitted by the bidder within twenty-four (24) hours after the bid opening and the corrected contractor's license number corresponds to the submitted name and location for that subcontractor.
