The Columbia County Board of Commissioners is seeking competitive bids for ing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to perform requested improvements at the designated athletic fields located within Lonnie Morris, Sr. Park, Columbia County, GA The project consists of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, etc. necessary to perform requested improvements at the designated athletic fields located within Lonnie Morris, Sr. Park, Columbia County, as outlined below: 1. Contractor shall demolish and dispose of all Field 1 and Field 2 Sports Fencing in their entirety. Field 1 is located adjacent to Appling Harlem Road. Field 2 in located behind Field 1. The Tennis court fencing will have selective demolition described in item 4 below. The tennis court is located in the middle of the park. 2. New fencing installed on Field 2 on the 3 rd base side will be rerouted in a straight line from the dugout to the outfield fence, eliminating the jog in the fence. 3. All other fencing, except that mentioned above, will be installed in the same location as existing, with the same size and shape. 4. The tennis court fencing wire and top rail shall be demolished. The post shall remain and should be painted black with proper priming and paint, per manufacturer's recommendation. 5. Contractor shall install new fencing, wire, top rail, braces, bottom wire, and tension wires on the existing tennis court posts. 6. Contractor shall demolish the existing arch roofed dugouts in their entirety and replace with the same overall size fencing. The new roof shape shall be angled with post to achieve a 2/12 roof pitch. Owner to provide metal roof panels at a later date to create a roof. Post shall be installed as purlins connected to vertical post to allow owner to install roofing. Post shall meet the required specification in item 9. 7. Contractor shall replace all gates, fencing, poles, top rails, bottom rails, dugout areas, and tennis courts with black, 9 gauge core, 8 gauge finished, Permafused coated chain link. Master Halco is the basis of design 8. Contractor shall demolish existing backstops and replace with the same overall size and shape of the structure. Contractor to use black, 6 gauge core, 5 gauge finished, Permafused coated chain link. Master Halco is the basis of design. Contractor shall install intermediate posts, wire, or tensioners at backstop to prevent future curling of fencing from use. 9. Contractor shall use SS-20 Posts throughout the entirety of the project where existing posts were removed. 10. Contractor shall be held responsible for all damage resulting in work to adjacent systems and property, included but not limited to irrigation, power, water, asphalt, concrete, etc. 11. Contractor shall replace any and all electrical outlets, irrigation components, or other systems that are mounted on or adjacent to fencing that would be in conflict with the demo and installation of new fencing. 12. Contractor shall replace ground covering disturbed or damaged during the course of the work with Bermuda Sod, as applicable 13. Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing sun/rain screen on dugouts. 14. Contractor to provide Notarized TWO year warranty on labor, craftsmanship and materials.
