The Project includes the following Work: Contract No. 1 - General Construction: Work generally consist of approximately 10,500 square yards of bituminous pavement removal and replacement along with sub grade and sub base improvements - these improvements are limited to the area of the trench required to replace utilities; 1,480 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter; 724 square feet of concrete valley gutter; 1,715 square feet of concrete driveway; 3,290 square feet of concrete sidewalk; 3,615 linear feet of open-cut 8-12-inch PVC sanitary sewer pipe, service connections, sanitary sewer manholes and appurtenances; 3,855 linear feet of open-cut 6-8-inch PVC water main, water service connections, fittings, hydrants, and appurtenances; 1,335 square yards of landscaping and seeding; erosion and traffic control; temporary water service; and sewer bypass pumping. Contract No. 1 - Alternate No. 1: Work generally consists of approximately 12,275 square yards of bituminous pavement removal and replacement along with sub grade and sub base improvements - these improvements include the additional quantity necessary for full street width bituminous pavement replacement; 455 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter; 2,335 square feet of concrete valley gutter; 1,850 square feet of concrete sidewalk; and 162 square feet of ADA detectable warning panel. Contract No. 1 - Alternate No. 2A: Work generally consist of approximately 2,840 square yards of bituminous pavement removal and replacement along with sub grade and sub base improvements - these improvements are limited to the area of the trench required to replace utilities; 400 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter; 420 square feet of concrete valley gutter; 442 square feet of concrete driveway; 951 square feet of concrete sidewalk; 1,250 linear feet of open-cut 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer pipe, service connections, sanitary sewer manholes and appurtenances; 1,365 linear feet of 6-8-inch PVC water main, water service connections, fittings, hydrants, and appurtenances; 275 square yards of landscaping and seeding; erosion and traffic control; temporary water service; and sewer bypass pumping. Contract No. 1 - Alternate No. 2B: Work generally consists of approximately 2,175 square yards of bituminous pavement removal and replacement along with sub grade and sub-base improvements - these improvements include the additional quantity necessary for full street width bituminous pavement replacement; 145 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter; 911 square feet of concrete valley gutter; 475 square feet of concrete sidewalk; and 108 square feet of ADA detectable warning panel. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. American Iron and Steel Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials.
