As of March 23, 2022,the project has been awarded to Farnsworth Excavation, LLC for $212,444.57. Division of Wildlife Resource. Approximately 12.25 miles of 4-strand barbed wire fence. See Attachment B: Scope of Work for Specifications The purpose of this IFB is to enter into a contract with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to provide: services in this contract to construct up to 64,683 feet (~12.25 miles) of 4-strand barbed wire fence to the specifications listed below. Approximately, 51,100 feet (~9.68 miles) would be in the Grass Valley area and 13,583 feet (2.57 miles) would be near Pinto Peak and Kane Point Draw. Work under this Contract is located within the Grass Valley area just north of the town of Pine Valley, UT in Washington County, Utah. The legal locations of the Grass Valley pasture area are Township 39 South Range 14 West Sections 6 and 7, Township 39 South, Range 15 West, Sections 1, 2, 11, and 12, Township 38 South, Range 15 West, Sections 24, 25, 26, 35 and 36. The legal sections of the Pinto Peak project area are Township 38 South Range 15 West Sections 1, Township 37 South Range 15 West Sections 23, 24, 25, and 36. The work locations are shown on the attached vicinity and treatment unit maps. Elevations range from 6,200 feet to 7,600 feet within the project area. Access to the site: Access is possible by a combination of paved highways, county, Forest Service dirt surface roads and overland hiking. Vehicle travel is limited to designated routes; off road/trail vehicle travel is prohibited. A site visit will NOT be held prior to bidding. It is strongly recommended that each potential bidder inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable.
