Rockingham County (NC) is seeking a qualified firm/individual to prepare a Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan. This Master Plan will drive County's long-range planning, direct decision-making, and resources toward a clearly defined vision for its future, including development and redevelopment of the parks, facilities, open space, and recreation system, over the next ten (10) years. The planning process will consist of the following components: needs assessment, visioning, identifying, and evaluating community needs, priorities, opportunities, and creating a phased implementation and financial plan. The firm selected by the Board of Commissioners will create a document which summarizes the planning process, data collected, the analysis of forecasted needs, and implementation strategies for review and approval by the governing body. Potential proposers may submit written questions prior to the meeting to Amanda Crumpler, Purchasing Officer, acrumpler@co.rockingham.nc.us or to Ronnie Tate, Director of Engineering and Public Utilities, rtate@co.rockingham.nc.us prior to March 30th, 2022. The County reserves the right to reject all RFQ submittals and to conduct studies and other investigations, as necessary, to evaluate the RFQ submittal and complete interviews with the firms as part of the evaluation phase.
