Renovation of an educational facility in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 9,500-square-foot educational facility.

Montclair Elementary School Re-Roofing This is a recover system totaling approximately 9500 SF. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. 1. The existing roof composition consists of metal decking over which is applied 3" polyiso insulation & tapered crickets covered with single ply membrane. There is slope in the structure and the cricket system directs runoff to internal drains. Overflow scuppers are provided along with collector boxes & downspouts. 2. Remove metal coping & metal edging. Existing nailers needing replacement before proceeding will be replaced under unit price allowance. 3. Apply 1/2 " High Density cover board mechanically fastened into the metal deck. 4. Adhere the PVC membrane to the cover board and along perimeter edges turn membrane down the face 4". 5. New roof system to be flashed / sealed back to vertical surfaces and at transitions. Mechanically attach 1/4 " cover board / adhere PVC membrane to back side of parapet walls where noted on details. Install new parapet canted coping. Extend membrane over parapet nailers and vertical face of nailers and tack. 6. Replace Overflow Scuppers, Collector Boxes & Downspouts. 7. New roof system to be flashed / sealed back into roof drains. 8. Install new preformed PVC curb & stack flashings to all penetrations. All penetrations must be a minimum of 8" above roof. This may require adding additional wood blocking to achieve this height. 9. Install crickets on the upside of mechanical curbs. 1/2 " /12" slope. 10. Install preformed inside & outside PVC membrane corners. 11. Refer to drawings & specifications for more detailed description of work.
