**As of May 18, 2022, this project has been awarded to J & L Paving LLC and the awarded amount is $460,247.50** Only Commercial Lane was awarded. Peppernut Lane was not awarded and may or may not go out for bid again sometime in the future. all tools, material and labor, and performing the work necessary to be done in the construction of the following: Asphalt Street Construction Approximately 1445 linear feet of 2" asphalt overlay (after compaction), nominally 20 to 40 feet in width, manhole risers to finish grade; All Asphalt Streets must be compliant with the City if Durant's Code of Ordinance (97.045) and (97.046) Concrete Street Construction - Approximately 1382 Linear feet of 6" concrete street, curbs and gutters. All Concrete Streets, curbs and gutters must be compliant with the City of Durant's Code of Ordinance ( 97.045) and ( 97.046) Normally 20 to 40 feet in width, manhole risers to finish grade. The work shall be completed within ninety (90) calendar days after the authorized starting date. Liquidated damages are established at $200.00 per day. The bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, which shall be deposited with the awarding public agency as a guaranty. Late bids will not be considered. The City of Durant reserves the right to accept all items for completion, select and split items depending upon cost, or reject all bids. Bidder must use all city forms provided when submitting bid. The bidder (Proposer) must supply all the information required by the bid on proposal form including completion of the Bidders Certifications and affidavits or his bid will be considered incomplete and therefore rejected. Bidders must satisfy themselves of the accuracy of the estimated quantities in the bid schedule by examination of the sites. After bids have been submitted, the bidder shall not assert that there was a misunderstanding concerning the quantities of work or of the nature of the work to be completed. Information obtained from an officer, agent, or employee of the City of Durant or any other person shall not affect the risks or obligations assumed by the contractor or relieve him from fulfilling any of the conditions or the contract. The City of Durant reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in any bid. The following bonds will be required from the Contractor: Performance bond to the Full Amount of the Contract Price. Statutory Public Works Bond for payment of all labor and materials used in the construction of such improvements in the Full Amount of the Contract Price.
