The City of Morristown intends to select a licensed consulting engineering firm to provide preliminary engineering and design services for a phase of a greenway system and to provide services relative to bidding and construction administration through the completion of the project. The project is funded through federal and state resources, and as such, the selected firm shall perform all tasks in a manner that maintains compliance with the regulations of the funding sources and all federal, state, and local regulations therefor. Professional services to be performed in general consist of, but are not limited to: General Supervision including Design, Environmental Review and Analysis, Planning and Programming, Construction Administration, Land Surveying, Construction Layout, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) and Davis-Bacon documentation, and Quality Assurance Testing of the project components. While the immediate need for engineering services relates to a greenway project, the selected firm may be assigned other transportation and civil engineering tasks as may be determined by the city to be in keeping with the presented qualifications. Upon the approval of the selected proposer, the City of Morristown is seeking an initial contract that may extend for a period of up to three (3) years from the date that the initial contract is signed. Projects beyond the initial greenway project may be subject to receipt of Federal and/or State matching funds for such projects.
