The project sites are located as follows: C-71(812) on 287 Avenue between Highway 30 and West Cedar Drive (in Polk County), and C-71(571) on 385 Street between 415 Avenue and 430 Avenue, both in Platte County, Nebraska. The project is referred to as Platte County 2022 CBC s: C-71(812) & C-71(571) and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required to construct: C-71(812) twin 12 x 6 x 50 concrete box culvert on a 0 degree skew, and C-71(571) triple 10 x 8 x 42 concrete box culvert on a 15 degree skew (lhb), and other related incidental work. All Bid Proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished with the Bid Documents. The sealed bids may be mailed or delivered to the Platte County Clerk, Platte County Courthouse, 2610 14th Street, Columbus, NE 68601, and should be plainly marked as, Construction Bid Proposal Platte County 2022 CBC s: C-71(812) & C-71(571) . Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the County Treasurer of Platte County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to provide a Start of Construction date and End of Construction date with its Bid Proposal. The desired completion date is August 1, 2022 for project C-71(812) and October 31, 2022 for C-71(571). The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed sixty (60) calendar days for completion of each site after beginning work at that site, provided they do not exceed their specified completion dates for each site. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the Engineer. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to acceptance by the Platte County Board of Supervisors. The Platte County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received. Award of the Contract will be in accordance with the County Purchasing Act s competitive bidding considerations as set forth in Neb.Rev.Stat. 23-3110 to 23-3114.
