Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Columbus, Mississippi. Working plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility; for site work for a transportation facility; for paving for a transportation facility; and water / sewer project.

The last day I will receive and answer questions is April 1st at 1:30 pm. Work will be that associated with four (4) individual projects... 1) North Hangar Apron Reconstruction which will involve the removal of existing concrete aprons followed by the construction of new asphalt aprons. Also included is the installation of new storm pipe as well as the removal of a 10,000 gallon underground storage tank; 2) South Apron LED Lighting which will involve the installation of 12 new LED light fixtures on the four existing overhead light poles. Also included is the installation of new electrical cables for the two north light poles; 3) Wildlife Fence Installation which will involve the modification of the existing 6-foot chain-link perimeter fence to 8-foot wildlife fence. Also included is the modification of two automatic/electric driveway gates; 4) Storm Drainage Rehabilitation which will involve the removal and replacement of an existing 36-inch storm pipe. Also included is the re-grading of the adjacent grassed area to repair erosion and smooth the drainage area. All work will be accomplished in accordance with current FAA design requirements, or local county regulation, whichever is more stringent. The award of the contract(s) will be based on the lowest qualified bid proposal for each individual project. All work performed shall be in exact accordance with the Construction Plans, Technical Specifications (on file at the office of the said Owner), Proposals and Special Provisions, under the direct supervision and to the entire satisfaction of the Owner and in accordance with the laws of the State of Mississippi. Contractors must be qualified under Mississippi Law and be registered with the State of Mississippi as a licensed general contractor capable of performing the required work. No contract shall be issued or awarded to any contractor who does not have a current certificate of responsibility issued by the State of Mississippi in effect on the date of the bid opening. Non-resident contractors bidding on this project shall be required to have their Mississippi registration complete and a current certificate of responsibility number issued by the State of Mississippi in effect on the day of the bid opening. Any bid submitted in violation of this requirement shall be rejected. Each Bidder must deposit with his proposal, a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of his bid, payable to the Golden Triangle Regional Airport, as bid security. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Any questions that bidders might have should be directed to the airport's engineering consultant, Neel- Schaffer, Inc., Birmingham, Alabama, to the attention of Joshua Stump, project engineer. The engineer will receive questions related to this project until 1:30 p.m. on April 1, 2022, after which additional questions will continue to be accepted, but without guarantee it/they will be answered before bid opening. The Golden Triangle Regional Airport hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged and women's business enterprises will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Bids must be submitted on the Standard Form of Bid Proposal and the successful bidder will be required to execute the Standard Form of Contract and Agreement. The Bidder shall guarantee to hold his bid(s) good and may not withdraw his bid(s) for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities in the best interest of the Airport Authority.
