This bid is funded, in part, by a grant from the Community Development Block Grant program, and as such is subject to, among other requirements, the Davis-Bacon Act. Bidders MUST submit all of the required forms in the CDBG package that is part of this document. Bids shall remain open to acceptance for ninety (90) days from their opening. Bids from vendors not registered with the Purchasing Office may be rejected; receipt of this document directly from the City of Portland indicates registration. Should a vendor receive this Request from a source other than the City, please contact 207-874- 8654 to ensure that your firm is listed as a vendor for this Bid. This project includes work at the following locations: 1. Washington Avenue between Oxford Street and Cumberland Avenue, and 2. Congress Street between Locust Street and the driveway east of 277 Congress Street. The project includes, but is not limited to the following items: 1. Resetting of and installation of new granite curbing, 2. Installation of ADA-compliant brick curb ramps. 3. Removal of existing roadway pavement, sidewalk brick and subgrade, placement of proposed subgrade material, and placement of brick sidewalks and driveway aprons, 4. Drainage work associated with sidewalk reconstruction, including installation of catch basins and catch basin lead, and 5. Coordination with abutters to minimize, to the extent feasible, disruptions to business, including retail operations, deliveries and outdoor dining.
