The City of Elko is soliciting proposals from qualified architectural firms interested in providing architectural services for two (2) proposed public safety projects: 1) Police Department Auxiliary Storage Building; and 2) Fire Department Station(s). Proposals submitted by architectural firms will be given consideration for subsequent selection interviews. Phase 1 Architectural Services will consist of the following: A. Study the routine operations of the respective department, as required in order to achieve a thorough understanding of the operations and needs, a sit relates to the specific project. B. Identify and determine, for each operational element of the respective department, a set of specific space needs for both current and long-term projected (20 years) operations, as it relates to the specific project. C. Determine the interaction/adjacency priorities of the operational elements, as it relates to the specific project. D. Determine current site needs, including evaluation of multiple sites, including current and long-term growth requirements after initial occupancy, as it relates to the specific project. E. Working with Staff, provide conceptual designs for each project, based upon the results of departmental facility needs and respective site assessment outcomes. F. Provide estimated construction and furnishing costs for each project (not including site procurement, if applicable).
