Deposits accompanying Bids shall be sealed in the Bid Envelope. Alternative Bids will not be considered unless specified otherwise in the Technical Specifications. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975 C.127, N.J. (NJAC 17:27) (Affirmative Action Act), P.L. 1963, C. 150 (Prevailing Wage Act), and Chapter 33, Laws of New Jersey 1977 (Stockholders Names). If awarded a contract your company/firm will be required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975 C. 127 (NJAC 17:27). It is important to note that, although not required to register, contractors who perform covered work or public projects not included in this definition of public works must still comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et.Seq) as regards the payment of prevailing wage rates and the keeping/submitting of certified payroll records. The Township of Union reserves the right to reject any and all bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, and to accept the lowest responsible responsive bid or alternate bid in accordance with applicable law. The Township of Union reserves the right to sever and make awards of all or parts of any Bids to one or more bidders. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of Bids without the consent of the Township of Union. The Township Committee, in its discretion may waive any immaterial informalities in any bid, and may correct any erroneous mathematical computation in any said bid and consider the bid on the basis of the corrected total or totals. Two (2) copies of the Bid must be fully executed and presented on the proposal form provided. Bids must be presented by the date and time of the bid. Specifications are not to be submitted with Bid documents.
