Demolition, site work and new construction of a residential development in Hampden, Maine. Completed plans call for the construction of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; and for the demolition of a 2,000-square-foot, two-story above grade residential development.

The Town of Hampden is soliciting references and cost estimates from construction firms for the demolition and removal of the property at 66 Main Rd North, Hampden. Interested construction firms should review the included project description, the included expected scope of services for the project, and the Town of Hampden's General Information for Bidders. Interested construction firms should submit a list of similar projects completed, detailed Scope of Services for job, timelines, and cost estimates for the work to be performed as outlined. Demolition and removal of 66 Main Rd North property cannot begin until June 1st, 2022. The Town of Hampden will be ranking each proposal based on referenced projects, scope of services, and cost estimate for the award of this contract. Demolition and removal of a two-story house located on a 0.1-acre parcel at 66 Main Rd. North Hampden. All demo debris shall be removed, and the foundation hole shall be filled and compacted with a suitable, non-organic fill to leave a level surface. All disturbed areas shall be loamed and seeded to complete the project. EXPECTED SCOPE OF SERVICES 1)Contractor shall inspect the site and verify all quantities before bid submittal. 2)Read and understand the Town of Hampden's General Information to Bidders. 3)Demolish a 2000 square foot 2 story stick-built residential home with asphalt shingles, concrete basement walls and floors, and a 900 square foot asphalt driveway. 4)Remove and dispose of all demolition debris. 5)Fill and compact the remaining basement hole to a level ground surface with a suitable non-organic soil. 6)Loam and seed all disturbed areas of the site. 7)Correct or repair any above ground infrastructure including sidewalks, curbing, or pavement that is damaged as part of this project 8)Coordinate with Public Works to locate and cap the existing sewer service. 9)Coordinate with the Hampden Water District to disconnect the existing water service. 10)Coordinate with all above ground utilities on the site to ensure that proper clearances are met and that the utilities will not be damaged during the construction. 11)The chosen contractor will also need to provide a traffic control plan on how they intend to get equipment, demo, and materials on and off the site during the project. A traffic control plan shall be submitted a minimum of two weeks before starting work. No work shall begin until the traffic control plan is approved.
