The bid consists of the removal of existing roof material, insulation, flashing and accessories, as required for installation of new materials and provision of new rigid insulation, roof membrane, flashing and accessories, and roof drainage modifications. The successful bidder is required to comply with the provisions of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1972, Executive Orders 3, 17, 11246, 11375, 11478 and, if applicable, the Connecticut Fair Employment Practice Law. The successful bidder must also be in business for at least 5 years, demonstrate evidence of financial stability and be able to provide documentation of proof of 5 jobs in the State of Connecticut of $1,000,000.00 or more. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of cash, bid bond, certified check, treasurer's check or cashier's check made payable to the Town of Farmington in an amount not less than 10% of the bid. The successful bidder upon award of bid will need to provide a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Materials Bond. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days from the actual date of bid opening.
