Site Location -The project site is located within Samuel Womack Park within the Township of Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. More specifically, the project site is located along West 11th Street and Palmer Street. The Township is proposing to remove existing dilapidated site amenities and install new playground equipment, resurface tennis court and convert into a basketball court, install an ADA Accessible walking path, and incidental site improvements. The project includes the installation of various site amenities, including a park shelter. Removal and reconstruction of the existing features will require soil erosion and sediment control measures that includes the installation of silt fence.The onsite improvements consist of the installation playground equipment, playground mulch, concrete sidewalk, concrete curb, park benches, trash receptacles, concrete walking paths, a playground sign, park grill, park shelter, park table and other incidental improvements. Stormwater management improvements include the construction of a rain garden with underground piping. The park equipment will be supplied by others. However, the contractor will be required to coordinate with supplier and completely assemble and install park amenities supplied by others. Samuel Womack Park Improvements (Park Equipment, Playground, Basketball Court, Walkway) There is no physical public bid opening for this project, bids will be revealed via the portal Bidders are required to submit a surety in the form of a bond or equivalent meeting 10% of the overall bid price in compliance with the contract documents. Bid bonds will be returned to the non-awarded bidders upon the execution of the contract. The successful Bidder shall also be required to provide a Performance Bond in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of written notice of acceptance of the Bid. The Bidder attention is called to the fact that this project is assisted with federal funds, and various federal requirements apply as noted in the bid documents, including but not limited to equal opportunity provisions and Davis-Bacon and Related Acts.
