Under the direction of the Parks Project Manager construct the Clay Mathis Park improvements at 2181 Clay Mathis Road, Mesquite Texas that meets following requirements. Improvements consist of on-site related construction items to support a pre-fabricated restroom building and a turnkey SprayPad feature, being provided by third parties under separate contracts with the City. General Contractor shall be responsible for sequencing and coordinating work items with these two improvements. On-site work shall include but may not be limited to grading, preparation of building pad, foundation for restroom building, establishing and connecting electrical service, extending and connecting water service, drainage, and pedestrian paving. All work shall comply with the current Building Codes of the City of Mesquite, City Standards and Texas Accessibility Standards. Contractor shall obtain Permits for electrical and water work. The permit fees will be waived by City. Construction duration is important and is included as a factor in the evaluation of the Price Proposals. Contractors that commit to completion earlier than the anticipated duration shall receive more evaluation points. An agreed to completion commitment shall be stipulated in the Construction Contract and failure to complete by the construction deadline will result in a $500.00 per day deduction to the contract value.
