https://www.ky3.com/video/2025/09/22/springfield-city-council-choose-contractor-3-million-bridge-remodel/ The Springfield City Council is expected to choose a contractor Monday night to tear down and rebuild the Scenic Avenue Bridge over Wilson’s Creek north of Sunshine Street. ------------------------------------------------- This project consists of the removal and replacement of the existing Scenic Avenue Bridge over Wilson's Creek. The existing structure will be replaced with a 160 foot three-span prestressed concrete girder bridge with 4 bents. The bridge includes 23,470 lbs of reinforcing steel, 91 CY of Class B and B-1 concrete, and 866 SY of concrete slab deck. The project also includes 415 LF of curb and gutter, 405 LF of Type D barrier curb, 359 LF of bridge rail concrete curb, 12,769 SF of sidewalk, 1,223 SY of concrete pavement, 2,524 CY of excavation, and various storm infrastructure. A certified or cashiers check or bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall be submitted with each proposal. Note all labor shall be paid Missouri Prevailing Wages. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities in bids.
