Renovation of a transportation facility in Sarasota, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
As of April 17, 2023, bids for this project are under evaluation. A timeline for award has not been confirmed. The Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority (SMAA), Florida will receive sealed bids for the -referenced project at the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport. Questions should be directed in writing to Elisa Traub, Project Coordinator: elisa.traub@srq-airport.com. The project consists of a one-story baggage handling expansion, extension of the existing canopy roof over the baggage area and construction of a new checked baggage inspection room and support spaces. The project includes the demolition of the entire existing baggage system, controls and coiling shutter doors, with exception of some of the ticket counter belts that will remain and replacement with new baggage system, CBIS, CBRA and supportspaces. Portions of the existing ATO spaces will be remodeled to accommodate changes to conveyor systems.
