Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Wylie, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
For GP&L Elm Grove Expansion Substation Construction Engineers Estimate: $1,300,000 This contract is for construction of the Garland Power & Light Elm Grove Switchyard Expansion. Civil site improvements have been completed at the site and generally consisted of clearing, grading, drainage, flexible base yard subgrade, and fence construction. Two (2) 138kV three phase transmission lines serve the switchyard. The westerly transmission line (Elm Grove-Ban Davis) will remain in place as currently configured. The easterly transmission line (Wylie-Elm Grove) will be modified by others including installation of a new transmission structure and conductors into the new A-Frame deadend being constructed with the switchyard expansion. Transmission line terminations by others will end at the line side of high voltage switches on the new A-Frame. Demolition within the existing Elm Grove Switchyard is part of this contract and generally includes removal of two overhead spans of transmission conductor and shield wire, removal of bus and bus supports, removal of potential transformers and partial demolition of their support foundations, removal of shield mast pole, and removal of one 138kV Gas Circuit Breaker; all as shown in the project plans and details. All materials and equipment removed shall be salvaged and delivered to the location specified by GP&L. Award must be made to the vendor submitting the most advantageous offer considering the relative importance of price and other evaluation factors. City reserves the right to request a best and final offer upon completion of negotiations. All questions must be answered within the Ion Wave Question & Answer segment. No emailed, faxed or phone call question related to this bid will be responded to. The deadline for submitting questions on this bid is March 29, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. This is an evaluated bid; please pay close attention to the GP&L Construction Contractors Questionnaire and Pricing Grading Sheet. Provide all information requested in an organized response. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% is required with your bid submittal. A Payment, Performance and Maintenance Bond will be required upon notification of award. Please acknowledge the City of Garland Terms and Conditions in the Attributes section.
