The project at 24 Mariner Way, Bucksport, Maine, consists of demolition, construction, and erection. Demolition work includes the demolition and disposal of existing surface and underground features such as a concrete slab, foundation, etc. within the limits of work.Construction work includes construction of a 31,000 S.F. parking area, a 22' x 75' concrete building foundation with perimeter slab and drain, accessory concrete pads, utility piping, paved maneuvering area, etc. Erection work includes the erection of an owner-provided, pre-engineered, four- story steel fire training building upon the new foundation. The pre-engineered fire training building erector shall be pre-qualified with Fire Facilities Inc. of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. This is an expansion of MMA's Center for Professional Mariner Development (CPMD) Campus. The work to be performed under this contract shall be completed on or before the Final Completion date of 16 December 2022.The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids as may best serve the interest of the Owner. Bid security is required on this project. If noted above as required, the Bidder shall include a satisfactory Bid Bond (section 00 43 13) or a certified or cashier's check for 5% of the bid amount with the completed bid form submitted to the Owner. Performance and Payment Bonds are required on this project. If noted above as required, or if any combination of Base Bid and Alternate Bid amounts selected in the award of the contract exceeds $125,000.00, the selected Contractor shall furnish a 100% contract Performance Bond (section 00 61 13.13) and a 100% contract Payment Bond (section 00 61 13.16) in the contract amount to cover the Execution of the Work.
