Renovation of a municipal facility in Tallahassee, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The City of Tallahassee is seeking engineering services per 287.055, F.S., for generator replacement and electrical improvements at the City's Gemini Building located at 408 North Adams Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301. The Gemini Building is a critical-operations center for providing customer service operations 24/7/365, provides office space to the COT's Underground Utilities and Public Infrastructure (UUPI) engineering department, and includes critical IT infrastructure to support these and other COT networking functions. The building is currently served by an existing 200kW generator that serves a portion of the building, and the existing electrical infrastructure is antiquated and code deficient. This project's objectives include replacing the generator and related infrastructure to power the entire building and systems, upgrading/resizing the existing electrical infrastructure, adding infrastructure to power all circuits via the generator, and coordinating with the City's consultants for a centralized, but limited, UPS system. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
