The Georgia Department of Transportation (hereinafter, "Department" or "GDOT") is conducting this electronic Request for Quotes ("eRFQ") under its authority to procure services ancillary to the construction and maintenance of a public road, as defined in O.C.G.A 32-1-3, as provided for in O.C.G.A 32-2-64 and 32-2-69 to establish a contract with a qualified supplier(s) who will provide Pavement Marking Placement and Maintenance (Long Line Stripping) products and/or services as further described in this eRFQ. The services procured through this eRFQ are for preventive maintenance services as defined in the Department's Design Policy Manual Chapter 11.1. The Department has established a comprehensive management program to ensure all routes are appropriately scheduled for pavement marking maintenance on a normal, and emergency basis. In most cases, the Retro-reflectivity reading and Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) for a route will be used to determine the frequency for these maintenance activities. Current goals are to perform 100 percent pavement marking maintenance at the frequency, less any Capitol Let Projects which include pavement marking work described in Exhibit A.1. attached. The Contractor shall be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of pavement markings on state highways and interstate systems throughout the State of Georgia. The Scope of Work will include furnishing all labor, material, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to perform work. The Department reserves the right at any time to contract for and perform other or additional work on or near the Work covered by the Contract. State highways and interstate systems work orders must be completed by the specified completion date, if a completion date is not provided, then work must be completed within 90 calendar days of the date the Work Order was issued, work contract start date mid-to-late August 2022.
