Notice Text ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CITY OF KIMBERLY KIMBERLY, IDAHO CITY OF KIMBERLY 2022 STREET CHIP SEAL PLACEMENT PROJECT General Notice The City of Kimberly is requesting Bids for the following streets project: CITY OF KIMBERLY 2022 STREET CHIP SEAL PLACEMENT PROJECT Separate Sealed Bids will be received at the City of Kimberly City Hall located at 242 Highway 30 East, Kimberly, Idaho 83341, until April 4, 2022 at 10 am local time. At that time, Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the following Work: The Work is generally described as follows: City Coordination and Notification to Residences and Businesses Abutting Work Areas; Traffic Control for Project Areas; Cover and Protect Manhole, Valve Can, Valley Gutters and Storm Drain Access Covers; Brush Road Systems and Remove Vegetation and Debris Prior to Chip Seal Application; Uniformly Apply CRS-2P and Chips onto Project Road Surfaces; and Remove Excess Chips, Protective Coverings and Excess Seal Materials on Covers and Valley Gutters Bids are requested for the following Contract: CITY OF KIMBERLY 2022 STREET CHIP SEAL PLACEMENT PROJECT The Project is expected to commence on or after June 15, 2022; be substantially complete by August 15, 2022 and final completion by August 31, 2022. The project start date is flexible with consideration to sustained ambient temperatures and Good Neighbor Days (July 10-12). The project has an expected duration of two (2) weeks. Bidding Documents may be acquired at no charge for the first document from the Issuing Office City of Kimberly City Hall during the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Each additional Bid Document set will cost perspective bidders $30. There will be a $10 shipping charge if the contracting firm prefers to receive the document via mail. Instructions to Bidders For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Bids must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, cashier s check or cash in the amount of 5% of the amount of the bid proposal. Said bid security shall be forfeited to the City of Kimberly as liquidated damages should the successful bidder fail to enter into contract in accordance with their proposal as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Kimberly reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bids received, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the best interest of the City of Kimberly. All Bidders shall accompany proposals with evidence of holding a valid Idaho Public Works Contractors License covering work to be performed, State of Idaho Certificate of Existence and shall list sub-contractors as required by Idaho Code.
