Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Bayonne, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; pre-engineered storage facility; and water / sewer project.

A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The project generally consists of the removal of all existing features, construction of a new pre-engineered restroom building and pavilion, construction of a new metal building system, installation of an ADA compliant bleacher system, two (2) new playgrounds with associated bonded rubber safety surfacing, splash pad with associated bonded rubber safety surfacing, paver patio areas, decorative tables and benches, picnic tables, concrete sidewalk and curbing, ADA compliant curb ramps, brick finish concrete block walls with decorative fencing and gates, brick finish concrete block planters, chain link fencing and gates, decorative landscaping, storm and sanitary sewer system improvements, domestic water service improvements, electrical improvements, and related work within the City of Bayonne, and all other associated work as contained in the Contract Documents or as ordered by the Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or cashiers check in the amount of not less than ten (10%) percent of the Bid, but not more than $20,000.00, payable without any conditional endorsement as a guarantee that in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will within ten (10) days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. Upon failure to do so he shall forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by the bidder. No interest shall be allowed upon any such certified check or cashiers check. A bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid, but not more than $20,000.00, may be substituted for certified check or cashiers check. The bidder shall be required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21 and N.J.S.A. 40A:11-22. In addition, a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for full amount of bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and that said Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond for the full amount of the bid, in accordance with the bid specifications. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The City reserves the right to award this contract based on funds available. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids if in its opinion it is in the best interest to do so and to award the contract for any and/or all items.
