Said proposals will be for a two-story elevator addition to an existing brick veneer structure, with an adjoining storage room on the ground floor and an elevator equipment room above accessed by a ships ladder from the storage room. The elevator addition will be of non-combustible construction consisting of CMU and brick veneer / CMU and cement fiber composite panel exterior walls, a hip-style roof constructed with metal framing and non-combustible roof decking, #30 felt underlayment and roof shingles. This is a turn-key project including all site work. The project site is located at 306 N Line Street, Munfordville, KY 42765 Bid proposals shall be accompanied by a 5% bid bond. The bond shall be payable to the Hart County Public Library. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond for the full amount of the contract sum The bidders shall include with their proposal a time schedule of work and proposed completion date. The date of commencement of the work shall be the date the Standard Abbreviated Form of Agreement between Owner and Contractor (A104-2017) is signed by both parties to this contract. Bidders shall submit a cost breakdown based on specification division along with a list of subcontractors upon the request of the architect. Any proposed substitutions of specified material, products, fixtures, and equipment shall be submitted with the Form of Proposal at the bid opening. The Architect's decision of approval or disapproval of a proposed substitution shall be final. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. No bidder may withdraw their proposal within 30 days after the date of the opening. All questions concerning this project must be in RFI format and faxed or emailed to the office of the architect.
