Pierce County Facilities Management Department (County) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from experienced professional mechanical engineering firms for engineering and design for the removal and replacement of the existing HVAC system for the Pierce County Annex facility located at 2401 South 35th, Tacoma, WA 98402. The successful firm for this project will possess design strength for design of complete HVAC system replacement projects in occupied office or government facilities. Experience should consist of design and construction administration of projects with comparable character, same size and timeframe, multi-tenant, and with firm/team strength and experience with overall project planning, coordinating consultant team specialists, scope and budget development, design, phasing in an occupied building, permitting, bidding, construction administration, post construction and all other services required to complete the project. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 4/7/2022 4:00 PM All questions about the meaning or intent of the Solicitation Documents must be submitted in writing within the Pierce County ProcureWare software, under the Clarifications Tab not later than Thursday, April 7, 2022, 4:00PM PDT. Bidders must be registered in the ProcureWare software in order to submit questions. The total current 2022-2023 budget for this project is $200,000. The intent at the end of the current biennium is to be through the Construction and Contract Documents (CD). Future work, including but not limited to bidding and construction administration through completion will be dependent upon County Council and authorization of additional funding for project execution. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all information in its entirety or in part and to waive informalities and minor irregularities and to contract as the best interest of the County may require. The County reserves the right to reject any or all SOQs submitted as non-responsive or non-responsible. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
