San Francisco Public Works (Public Works), a department of the City and County of San Francisco (City), seeks to award up to four (4) master agreements (Contracts) to pre-qualified Consultants and/or joint venture (JV) firms to provide Professional Geotechnical Engineering Services, and other related services on City projects on an as-needed basis. The selected Consultants, including its team of sub-consultants, will support the Design and Engineering Division of Public Works. Consultants will provide Professional Geotechnical Engineering services on an as-needed basis, as described in Section 2 - Scope of Work of the RFQ. The tasks may include conducting geotechnical field explorations, investigations, and laboratory testing; supplemental testing such as seismic borehole logging, seismic refraction profiling, and corrosion testing and evaluation; preparing reports for new and existing building/bridge foundations; recommendations for designing foundation systems, excavation support and underpinning systems, rock slide and landslide mitigation analysis and design, retaining wall systems, embankments, and ground improvement such as grouting, deep soil mixing, vibro-compaction and dewatering; specialized seismic design analyses; and other geotechnical or geological consultation related work. Consultants will also prepare CAD drawings, specifications, cost estimates; perform construction support, peer review consultation, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) review, and related services. The result of this RFQ, through the evaluation and selection process, will be a master agreement with each selected consultant firm or team. Each master agreement will have a five (5) year term with Contract Service Orders (CSO) or tasks issued during the first four years only. The City intends to award up to four (4) master agreements with a not to exceed value of up to $2,000,000 for each master agreement. Public Works reserves the right to change the number of contracts, the contract amount, and have the sole discretion to extend the Contract duration to be awarded consistent with City contracting requirements.
