Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Shelby, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Contract A: Items of work include construction of approximately 11,500 feet of watermain and complete replacement of 150 water services. Incidental roadway reconstruction will include 4,000 tons of HMA, concrete curb & gutter, HMA valley gutter, sidewalk, driveway replacement and all related work. Contract B: Items of work include replacement of 275 water service lines from the water main to 18 inches inside the structure or to the water meter, whichever is shorter, partial replacements of water services from curb stop to inside the structure, associated water curb stop, corporation stop, and restoration improvements and all related work. A pre-bid conference will not be held. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. These projects are funded through Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and MDOT Category B which requires that Federal Wage Rates be utilized. We would like to call the bidders attention to the DavisBacon/Prevailing Federal Wage Rates, 29 CFR Part 5- Labor Standards Provisions for Federally Assisted Projects, Debarment/Suspension Certification, and American Iron and Steel Contract Language. The Village of Shelby reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the Village of Shelby.
