Renovation of a medical facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

The Scope of Work for the Electrical Prime Package shall include all necessary services, work, labor, materials, supervision, tools, supplies, equipment, insurance, and applicable taxes necessary to complete Electrical Prime Package as shown in the Contract Documents for the above referenced Project. The Scope of Work for the Electrical Prime Package is further specified in the Agreement, the Scope of Work, the Plans and Specifications, and other documents that will be uploaded to TUebid as part of the solicitation. To be invited to participate in the bidding process through TUebid, interested parties must contact Naomi Greenberg via e-mail at projects@temple.edu for written instructions by no later than 2:00 p.m. EST, March 30, 2022. Insert the wording "Electrical Prime - Vendor Registration" in the subject line. Registration in TUebid System; Legal Existence of Offeror. No bid will be accepted from a bidder that is not registered in the TUebid system. In order to ensure proper registration in the TUebid system, an application to register must be made no later than five days prior to the date scheduled for receipt of bids in the Calendar of Events that will appear in TUebid. Under no circumstances will a bid be accepted from or on behalf of an entity, such as a partnership or joint venture, that is not in existence on the date the bid is submitted, or the existence of which is contingent on a future event, such as the award of a contract pursuant to this solicitation. Temple University Hospital's Department ofRadiation Oncology must replace two ofits existing linear accelerators and the Gamma Knife 4c with advanced technology that can provide faster treatments, gain workflow efficiencies, improve treatment and imaging accuracy and also allow a single platform to deliver advanced stereotactic treatments and conventional radiation therapy throughout the body and brain. This will allow the hospital flexibility to treat more patients and address a wider variety ofsymptoms.The Gamma Knife and Linear Accelerator units are presently located in the sub-basement ofthe Ambulatory Care Center approximately 29 feet below grade. The units are mounted to the existing structural slab using heavy steel members. The existing mechanical and electrical systems associated with the units will also be replaced. This will include HVAC and chilled waterserving the equipment, control room and the area environment. This highly specialized medical equipment will be permanently fixed to the building and incorporated into its structure. The replacement ofthe Gamma Knife will involve disconnecting and removing the existing 40,000-pound unit. Rigging the new 40,000-pound unit into place in the sub-basement and structurally securing the unit as required to suit the equipment footprint. The project will include renovation ofthe equipment, control room and procedure areas. Renovations include new ceiling, wall and floor finishes, new lighting, new casework forstoring equipment specific apparatus and new control room millwork. Renovations to the procedure area allow for a more pleasant patient experience. The replacement ofthe two Linear Accelerator (Linac) units will involve disconnecting and removing the existing 5,000 pound units, rigging the new units into place in the subbasement and structurally securing the unit as required to suit the equipment footprint. The projectwill include renovation ofthe equipment, control room and procedure areas. Renovations include new ceiling, wall and floor finishes, new lighting, new casework for storing equipment specific apparatus and new control room millwork. Renovations to the procedure area allow for a more pleasant patient experience. The floor finish in the main corridor along the loading/rigging path will be replaced as well.
