The project generally consists of milling and installation of Superpave Materials on Graeff Street. All Bidders who will be submitting Bids to the Borough must register and purchase a complete set of the Bid documents from Systems Design Engineering, Inc. The Surety Company must be acceptable to the Borough. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the above-specified date for receiving, opening and reading of bids, except as specifically may be provided by law. All Contracts exceeding $10,000.00 shall be performed in compliance with Executive Order 11246, entitled, "Equal Employment Opportunity," as amended by Executive Order 11375 and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60). In addition, all Contractors shall comply with the "Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause" as required by Pennsylvania Executive Order 2016-05. Wages paid are subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961, P.L. 987 as amended and supplemented. The Pennsylvania Human Relations Act of 1955, P.L. 744, No. 222, as amended June 25,1997 by Act 34 of 1997, 43 P.S. 951-963, shall apply to this Contract if the total cost exceeds $100,000.00. The Bidder and all subcontractors must be prequalified by PennDOT for the type of project work specified in order to bid the project, and PennDOT prequalification certificates must be submitted by the Bidder and all subcontractors. The Borough of Cressona, Schuylkill County, reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject any or all bids, and to delete any item or portion of an item without affecting the bids on the remaining items or portion of items. The above invitation to Bidders is made for the benefit of Borough of Cressona, Schuylkill County, and no rights shall be deemed to accrue to any person making a bid by reason of the submission of any bid hereunder or by waiver or non-enforcement of any provision of requirement of this invitation.
