All work under this advertisement shall be started on a date to be specified in a written order from the Board of City Commissioners. Work shall consist of removing the existing and installing a new traffic signal system, appurtenances, concrete flatwork, and related items. Each bid shall be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a bidder's bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid as required by Section 48-01.2, North Dakota Century Code, as amended, and executed as provided by law. The bid bond shall be conditioned that if the principal's bid is accepted and a contract is awarded, the principal shall execute the contract within ten days of receipt of the notice of award. The Board of City Commissioners reserves the right to hold all bids for a period of thirty (30) days after the date fixed for the opening thereof and reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities whenever it is for the best interest of the City of Bismarck.
