Capital upgrades needed to support extra trips and Positive Train Control in outlying years: FY 24 is for a portion of Downtown layover yard, double track (passing siding) improvements, and rail yard upgrades and FY 25, 26, & 27 are for PTC. As of April 7, 2025, this project is included in the Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County FY 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and funding is allotted for FY 2027, FY 2028, FY 2029, and FY 2030. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
