Site work for a water / sewer project in Turtle Lake, North Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Work is comprised of one (1) Contract with Base Bid and two (2) Bid Alternates. Bids shall be on unit price basis for all contracts and alternates. The Work comprised of Contract No. 1, Alternate No. 1, and Alternate No. 2, generally consists of construction of water pipelines and furnishing and installing the following approximate quantities: Contract No. 1 - Pipeline Construction Base Bid: A Clarified Water (non-potable) pipeline extending from Washburn up to the Blue Flint Ethanol Plant (BFEP) site. Approximately 7,800 feet of 16" HDPE and 46,000 feet of 12" HDPE including two cased bores: one using 24" HDPE under Highway 200 and the other using 16" Steel under the CP railroad spur. Also includes all associated fittings and appurtenances, restoration, flushing and testing. Alternate No. 1 to Contract No. 1: A 4" HDPE potable water line connecting to the existing MSRWD water system and extending approximately 1 mile north and 0.5 miles east to the BFEP site. Including a single 1" meter pit, approximately 1,800 of 2" site piping, one steel cased bore under the CP railroad spur and all associated fittings and appurtenances, restoration, flushing, disinfection, and testing. Alternate No. 2 to Contract No. 1: An 8" HDPE effluent water line from the BFEP site south approximately 9 miles to the Missouri River. Including approximately two 48" concrete manholes, two ARV pits, one PRV concrete vault and all associated fittings and appurtenances, restoration, flushing and testing. Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the contractor's license and bid security. The bid security must be in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the full amount of the bid and must be in the form of a bidder's bond. A bidder's bond must be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety, conditioned that if the principal's bid is accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten days after notice of the award, shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and the bid bond and any condition of the governing body. A countersignature of a bid bond is not required under this section. If a successful bidder does not execute a contract within the ten days allowed, the bidder's bond must be forfeited to the governing body and the project awarded to the next lowest responsible bidder. The bidder shall be licensed for the full amount of the bid as required by section 43-07-12 of the NDCC. Bids that do not fully comply with requirements of NDCC 48-01.2-05 are considered deficient and will be resealed and returned to the bidder immediately. All Bids will be made on the basis of cash payment for such work and materials. All Bidders are invited to be present at the public opening of the Bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and rebid the project until a satisfactory bid is received, and further reserves the right to award the Contract in the best interests of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to hold the three (3) low Bids for a period of thirty (30) days after the date of the Bid opening to complete financial arrangements.
