Work will consist of supplying approximately 4500 tons of 9.5 mm wearing course, 500 Ton of 19.0 mm binder course and 100 Ton of 25.0 mm BCBC course. (PG 64-22, 0.3 to 3.0 million ESAL's SRL-M). The asphalt design mix will utilize 100% virgin materials. Recycled asphalt will not be considered. A certified check payable to the Unity Township Supervisors, or a Bid Bond, shall be executed by the Bidder and a Surety Company, in an amount equal to 10 percent (10%) of the Bid to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into a Contract if given the award. No Bid Bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or any applicable municipal ordinances. All contractors must adhere to Act 127 of 2012 (Public Works Employment Verification Act). Unity Township reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informality in Bids received. No Bid may be withdrawn for one sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids. No faxed Bids will be accepted.
