The proposed work consists of the following: Work Area No. 1: provide and install two (2) flanged plug valves (8 & 12 ) and related appurtenances on buried cast iron non-potable watermains and all other related work as shown and specified in the Contract Documents. Work Area No. 2: provide and install one (1) 18 flanged Magnetic Flow Meter, two (2) butterfly valves, and all related appurtenances on an above ground 18 steel non-potable watermain and all other related work. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed forms and accompanied by cash, a cashier's check, certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form payable to the Agency in an amount not less than 10 percent of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a payment bond and faithful performance bond each in the full amount of the Contract price, and insurance with certificates and endorsements of insurance, as provided in the Contract Documents. The attention of bidders is directed to the requirements and conditions of employment to be observed and prevailing wage rates to be paid to all workers employed under the Contract in accordance with Labor Code sections 1770 and following. The Agency reserves the right to reject all bids. Any bid not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Contract Documents may be rejected. The Work shall be performed during the period between June 27, 2022, through October 28, 2022.
